Stockton doesn’t have it. Chico doesn’t.Vallejo,Oakland,San Fran, Manteca, not even Dixon has it.
Home Grown Soul. Live R&B open mic. If you haven’t been to the Home Grown Soul Show..go ahead and slap yourself.
This is the best venue to hit Sacramento since we had “On Broadway” way back in 1998.
Live singing with the band in the background, you never know what’s going to happen.
Last week, we had singers bringing background vocalists with them.We had the finest entertainers in Cali in the house. This Thursday, Sacramento’s FIRST open mic soul music sess ion will have it’s 3rd show. If you sing soul, neo soul, blues, gospel,or whatever…come through this Thursday and bless the mic. You never know who is going to be in the audience.I met two producers last week.

This night is sponsored in part by V101 FM, as part of the Home Grown Soul radio show that will be aired on Sundays at 6pm. Every Thursday at Marilyns, come check out some of the area’s to talent on the mic. This night is 21 and over, $7 admission, full bar,
and will be hosted by
Khiry Malik Moore. 908 K Street, 8pm….Platinum Bound Media Group is the official promoter of this event, in conjunction with Aaron Devon. It is important that we support our arts scene in Sacramento. Marilyn’s has opened the door for us to have this event, when they normally do other genres outside of soul music. We need to show them that our music is relevant, and can be successful in this type of environment. So don’t spend $50 in gas going to Oakland for entertainment, spend a lot less right here in Sac…..and have a great time!! say word. www.homegrownsoulshow.com
